Energy Experiments

Students completed two experiments today which demonstrated energy transformations from thermal energy to motion.  Young scientists were giddily surprised to see the effects of hot water on live wire.  They were also amazed to see what happened to a rubber band after repeated contractions.  Fifth graders have become more skilled at using the correct terminology and vocabulary in their written conclusions and in class talks.
