Drafting- Creative Stories

Writers are thinking deeply about their characters.  They did writing exercises this week to get to know their characters better.  We talked about the writer's role in character development and how useful it is for a writer to understand a character's past.  All fifth graders spent writing blocks in intense focus.  Their stories are really developing!
