Our midah (value) of the month is Shmiat HaOzen, Attentiveness. Today in class, we did an exercise where each student shared something with a partner when their partner was first very distracted, and then kept eye contact with them. The students were able to reflect on how important it is to look at someone when they are talking, and how that makes them feel heard, respected and cared for.
I was wondering if it is possible to post in Hebrew script or print, instead of transliterations, or if the webpages are not up to this yet. I know Ruth has ups and downs with Hebrew in her teaching, particularly with vowels, but I was under the impression that webpages did this better than word processors.....anyway I almost always find it easier to decode the actual Hebrew text rather than transliterations! (particularly if I need to look something up in the dictionary!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestion- I will try to use Hebrew next time
